Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia. Left untreated AF can lead to stroke and death. The earlier AF can be detected the better as early treatment reduces the risk of adverse events. The problem is that early or paroxysmal AF is mostly asymptomatic. The heart rhythms of high risk individuals can be monitored for AF using modern wearable devices.

Long Covid

The SARS-Cov2 virus can cause both acute and chronic infection affecting multiple organs and physiological systems. Long Covid often causes a disruption of normal autonomic nervous system function. Sympathetic overactivation and POTS are two ANS disturbances that can be assessed remotely through the analysis of heart rhythms.
